No — it counts Monday through Friday only. Public holidays vary widely by country and organization, so they are not built in.

How it works

The calculator steps through every calendar day between your two dates (inclusive of both) and counts how many fall on a Monday through Friday, separately from those that fall on a Saturday or Sunday.

Formula & methodology

Working days = total days in the inclusive range − weekend days, where a weekend day is any Saturday or Sunday in that range.

Worked example

From Monday, September 14, 2026 to Friday, September 18, 2026 is 5 working days out of 5 total days.
