Your calculation is performed in your browser. This result is an estimate for informational and educational purposes. How it works
The calculator rearranges the BMI formula to solve for weight at the two BMI boundaries that define the normal weight category — 18.5 and 24.9 — giving a lower and upper healthy weight bound for your height.
Formula & methodology
Minimum healthy weight = 18.5 × height (m)². Maximum healthy weight = 24.9 × height (m)².
Worked example
For a height of 170 cm, the healthy weight range is about 53.5 kg to 72.0 kg.
Important notes
- —This range is derived purely from height using the BMI method — it does not account for muscle mass, frame size, or body composition.
- —For a broader perspective, compare this range against the Ideal Weight Calculator, which uses separate clinical formulas.
